In our opinion Ethiopian coffee ranks among the best African coffee. Second to none, Ethiopia produces some of the most complex and distinctive coffee beans in the world. Different from other African coffees such as Ethiopian Harrar, and Sidamo, Yirgacheffe adds a soft, fragrant, flowery note that is complex to the palate with a long resonant finish with hints of citrus. We Viennese roast our Yirgacheffe because we feel that the coffee loses more than it gains from a darker roast where many of the coffees delicate destinctions are lost.
